Calculating measurement uncertainty for plant and laboratories to ISO 17025
Who should attend: Those who need to estimate how accurate their plant or laboratory measurements are made. Suitable for a broad range staff from those in sales, to knowledgeable engineers and scientists.
Level: The course starts at a basic simplified level for use in quick estimations for both plant and laboratories then progresses to recognised methods used by, for example, laboratories working to ISO 17025 (2017).
Course content: Some of the topics covered include:
Learning outcomes: An understanding of the stages in uncertainty estimations and the ability to produce and interpret uncertainty budgets at various levels and different applications that will in-line with the guidelines published by such bodies as the BSI, MOD, ISO and UKAS.
Training delivery: The basic course will be presented by Dave Ayres who has over 30 years of metrology experience in both industrial and laboratory measurements. John Hurll will present the higher level part of the course and has many years of experience working in electrical measurements. Both are external technical assessors for UKAS.
Location: Courses are held roughly twice a year at Rotronic UK, Crawley. Courses can also be arranged at your site by agreement by contacting us.
