DATE: 1 day course on 28th November 2018.  Times 0915hrs to 1630hrs.
VENUE: Rotronic Ltd, Crawley, Sussex RH10 9EE
FEE: £ 285 + VAT.
Introduction

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 ‘General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories’ was published at the end of last year.  All accredited laboratories are required to transition to the new standard by 1st Dec 2020 and UKAS will assess all laboratories to the new standard as from 1st January 2019.

Our seminar will help you to understand and implement the changes from the 2005 edition of ISO/IEC 17025 standard, to the 2017 edition; getting from where you are, providing a gap analysis of where you are to where you need to be.
We will cover the key changes in the new standard and discuss the cross-over with ISO 9001 (the two Management System Routes), taking into account some important changes relating to risks and opportunities and clarification on the decision rules associated with uncertainty and tolerance.  Just 8 places available for this course so we can meet your needs.
What are the benefits?
This seminar will benefit those who are already familiar with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005, but are looking to better understand the changes that have been made, and how they will affect their organisation.
This seminar will give delegates an awareness of the revised structure of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and its role as a framework for demonstrating competence.
A detailed ‘Gap Analysis’ Check Sheet will be provided  which can be used to demonstrate to Accreditation Bodies that the Laboratory has considered all changes in a cost effective manner and assist the laboratory in applying to UKAS in transitioning to the new standard.
Tim Alcock, the presenter, will explain the rationale behind the changes, their impact and ideas for demonstrating compliance as well as outlining the transitioning process and required timelines enabling participants to create their own gap assessments and plan their own implementation strategy.
